Bugoy only recently exposed that he had a stage-ready in performance voice, and only by accident. Coming from poor family unit in a far-flung district in Camarines Sur, the hard-working farmer’s son went into school with the vision of earning a degree. He payed his tuition through scholarships and earned his pocket money running as janitor and dish washer.It must have been a practice for Bugoy to sing while doing basic work. But back in the farmhouse where only the cows and the birds could listen to him, his tone of voice went unacknowledged. It took a buddy, who heard him singing while cleaning with a mop, to make Bugoy appreciate that he could truly carry a harmony. Winning school competitions soon emboldened him to vision some more and try out for PDA.
